Reading my blog may be the literary equivalent of getting in a car with crazy Uncle Ned. He drives too fast, always has the windows down, and prefers the scenic over the direct route. At first you’re afraid, he’s not like all the other people you know, and the wind is messing up your hair! But eventually you settle in – the sticky seats and sharp turns are now overshadowed by the 75 mph views. The amazing views. You realize he’s actually got some interesting places to take you. To remind you of life in a new way. As you are enveloped by the strange sounds and smells of forgotten memories, even the familiar begins to take on a fresh aura. And you understand now. Your Uncle was only looking for a kindred spirit…you. When it’s over, you are thankful for the ride. On the scenic route. With the windows down, of course.
